Technical setup, sitemaps and on-page improvements so the right people find you.

    The technical groundwork

Search Console verified, a sitemap submitted, a sensible robots file, canonical tags and structured data. None of it is glamorous, but skipping it is why plenty of decent sites never show up.

I also check the basics that get overlooked: page speed, mobile usability, broken links, duplicate titles, and whether the site is being indexed properly. Most of this can be fixed quickly once it has been spotted.

    On-page work

Unique titles and descriptions per page, one clear heading structure, real content instead of stock filler, and internal links that connect your services to your work. I write these in plain English, aimed at the people who are actually searching, not at search engines.

For local businesses, this means targeting the areas you serve rather than chasing national keywords you will never rank for. A page about "web design in Warwickshire" is far more useful than one about "UK web developer".

    Site speed counts

A fast site ranks better and converts better. If yours is slow, a redesign often does more for search than any amount of tinkering.

    Local intent

If you serve a specific town, county or region, your site should make that obvious. I build location signals into page titles, headings, structured data and content so search engines know where you operate and customers nearby can find you.

This is not about stuffing place names into every paragraph. It is about creating genuinely useful pages that answer the questions people in your area are already searching for.

    No jargon reports

If I spot an issue, I tell you what it means in real terms and what I propose to do about it. You will not get a monthly PDF full of charts and acronyms. You will get a short list of what was done, what changed, and what we should do next.
