Keeping what already works

A redesign is not a blank slate. The pages that already bring you enquiries stay, the URLs that already rank stay, and the copy that already does its job stays. Everything else gets rethought.

I audit the existing site first. That means checking what content is worth keeping, which pages are ranking, where traffic comes from, and what is broken or out of date. Then we rebuild around the good stuff rather than starting from scratch.

Speed and mobile

Most older sites are slow because of page builders and unnecessary plugins. Rebuilding on a modern stack usually fixes that on its own, which helps your search visibility too.

Every redesign is built mobile-first. That does not mean it looks fine on a phone. It means the navigation, the calls to action, and the page structure are designed for someone scrolling one-handed on a small screen, because that is how most of your visitors will see it.

Redirects and rankings

When URLs have to change, I set up proper 301 redirects so any authority the old pages had follows through to the new ones. I also resubmit the sitemap and re-verify Search Console so Google sees the new site quickly.

Who a redesign suits

A redesign is usually the right call when the site looks dated, loads slowly, is hard to update, or no longer reflects what the business does. It is also a good fit if you are rebranding, moving away from a restrictive page builder, or simply embarrassed to send people the link.
